Kids Rank programs are open to military and veteran children from all branches of service. Programs are offered to military youth in Kindergarten through 9th grades and divided into age specific sessions. See below for open registrations!
Kids Rank Entrepreneurial Program teaches 6th-9th graders important financial and business skills as they create and develop their own company. This year, we are excited to partner with WeThrive! Local business students will mentor our military youth as they brainstorm and pitch business ideas and then turn them into a real company! FALL 2020 REGISTRATION IS CLOSED! Through entrepreneurship education, young people, including those with disabilities, learn organizational skills, including time management, leadership development, and interpersonal skills, all of which are highly transferable skills sought by employers
WHO: Military and veteran children 6th-9th grade
WHEN: Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30 PM, September 23- December 16
WHERE: Meetings will take place primarily over Zoom with a few small group in person meetings. Social distancing guidelines will be observed.
COST: $50/ child, participants will also receive a $25 discount on our Pride Program.
Kids Rank At Home is the social distant adaptation of our Pride Program. Pride Members will work towards three Ribbon Achievements throughout the year participating in games, activities and service projects.
As we developed this model we have been mindful about the amount of screen time kids will be faced with as a result of virtual schooling and have made sure to mix up our at home version to, yes, include Pride Leader hosted Zoom activities to stay connected but also a variety of off screen projects that can be completed from the safety of their own home!
WHO: Military and veteran children K-8th grade. Please note age group restrictions when registering your child.
WHEN: Once a week beginning October 19 lasting through the school year, days and times vary based on selected session.
WHERE: In the Fall, weekly meetings will take place over Zoom with the potential for small group meetings as CDC guidelines allow.
